Home / History / Christmas Concert 2006 Christmas Concert 2006
The first half of the program was the so-called 'Christmas movements' of Handel's Messiah, much loved by choir and audience alike. This was followed by a selection of Christmas carols, including a new arrangement of Silent Night by our own Ian Williams. The four soloists for the Messiah were: Helen Winter (soprano), Tania Marie Williams (contralto), Simon Spencer Williams (tenor) and Howard Wong (bass). They each also provided us with a solo in the second half of the concert as well. This was Michael Downes final concert with SOCS and he was given a rousing send off including a presentation at the end of the concert. Cate Caruth |
