Spring Concert 2003

Spring Concert 2003 poster The concert this spring had a varied and testing content for the choir. From the moving Serenade to Music (Vaughan Williams) to its almost complete opposite, the rowdy and almost bawdy Carmina Burana (Orff)- from which we sang the choruses - these two pieces provided a seconf half of complete contrast.

Once again the press were present and produced another good report which provided much needed publicity for the Society.

The soloists who joined us provided excellent support to the choir. Marie Vassiliou (pictured below, left) the talented soprano made her third visit to us. Tania Williams (below, right), mezzo-soprano, returned after her previous performace of Elijah in the Spring of 2001. They were more than ably supportd by Ben Hulett (tenor), seen on the left and William Berger (baritone) on the right. We are indeed proud to be able to present such talented performers to our local audience. The choir and soloists would like to acknowledge the support of the Musicians Benevolent Fund and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. 2003 Spring Concert soloists
